Westfield Ranks On 'Best Places For Homeownership' List
"Homeownership in New Jersey can be expensive but our analysis found affordable places across the state, including areas close to Philadelphia and New York City," said Maggie Clark, an analyst with NerdWallet.
Westfield comes in at number 16 on NerdWallet's "Best Places for Homeownership" top 20 list, which aimed to measure each communities potential by assessing its home availability, affordability, and population growth.
The consumer advocacy site also found most places that ranked on the list had a commutable distance from New York City, home's valued over $200,000, and 30% of residents monthly income spent on homeowner costs in common with each other.
