Westfield Ranked a 'Top Town' in NJ

Magazine credits town for young family population.

Westfield has found a place on NJ Monthly's list of "Top Towns" and was ranked at No. 89, according to The Alternative Press.

The list, which is comprised bi-annually, rates the magazine's interpretation of the best towns in the state based on three factors: number of young families, adults who are young singles and businesses geared toward them and empty nesters. Towns with a population under 1,500 were dropped from consideration for the survey.

A total of 514 towns were ranked on the list, which will be available in full on Sept. 3. Morris County's Mendham Borough was named the "Top Town" in New Jersey for 2013.

Westfield was also ranked on NJ Monthly's 2011 list of "Top Towns." In that survey, the magazine credited the town's "prosperous downtown" and convenient location for making Westfield a great place to live.
