Ways to Help Hurricane Sandy Victims Locally

Here are places collecting items for victims of last week's storms. If you know of others, please post them below.

Want to help people suffering from the effects of Hurricane Sandy and Wednesday's nor'easter, but you don't know where to go? 

Here are some places taking donations of goods and money. If you find others, please post them below in the comments section.

WHAT:  Taking blankets, clothing, food, monetary donations


WHERE:  Woodbridge Chamber of Commerce
52 Main Street

WHAT:  Collecting canned food for local food banks


WHERE:  Bahama Breeze
520 Woodbridge Center Drive
Woodbridge, NJ

WHAT:  Collecting bottles of water and canned goods for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Perth Amboy. Also hosting a donation day Nov. 19 and 20 where diners can have 10 percent of their dining bill donated to the clubs, and the money goes to help the children and their families hurt by the hurricane.

WHAT:  Canned and boxed items (no glass accepted) including diapers, peanut butter, cereal, diapers, etc.
