Seven From Boy Scout Troop 77 Reach Eagle

Scouts were honored by Congressman Leonard Lance and Assemblyman Jon Bramnick.

Boy Scout Troop 77 of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Westfield, New Jersey honored the advancement of 7 scouts to the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank of the Boy Scouts of America.

These 7 young men—Austin Colish, Alex D’Amato, Farris Dwider, Vikranth Eleswarapu, Tim Huber, Paul Lizzo, and Kendall Reid—completed the Eagle Scout requirements within just a few months of each other. Together with their families, friends, leaders and scouts from Troop 77, and community officials, the 7 scouts held a Court of Honor on Sunday, April 21 at Westfield High School. Six of the new Eagle Scouts are students there. Colish is a student at the Academy for Information Technology High School.

More than 200 guests celebrated the achievements of these young men at the ceremony and reception hosted by the 7 families. Congressman Leonard Lance, Assemblyman Jon Bramnick, district officials from the Boy Scouts of America Patriots Path Council, and several representatives from various community organizations addressed the new Eagle scouts and their guests—extolling the leadership and community service demonstrated by these young men.
