Save the Date! FestiFall Set for Sept. 22

New for 2013 FestiFall: two ride ticket booths and two bungee trampolines.

With the weather turning cooler, it's not hard to believe that FestiFall is right around the corner.

The annual street festival, presented by the Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce, is set for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22 rain or shine in downtown Westfield.

The open air market includes a wide variety of vendors and food providers as well as rides and activities for children. New for 2013 FestiFall: two ride ticket booths and two bungee trampolines.

"Although our family has always loved the street fairs in Westfield, we've been frustrated with waiting too long in line for rides," said GWACC executive director Heather Robinson. "So, the Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce is happy to announce that there are going to be 2 ticket booths, and 2 bungee trampoline attractions, at Festifall 2013!"

The 24th annual fair will include plenty of live music featuring some familiar faces.

"We are proud to boast much local talent on our performance stage," Robinson added. "Don't miss Patch Guest Columnist, Brad Schaeffer, and his band, 'Union,' and another local favorite, 'Pending.'"

There is no admission fee and parking is free. The streets in the downtown area will be closed to traffic including Prospect, Elm, East Broad, and Quimby Streets. The GWACC recommends that visitors park in the South Avenue train station lot and cross into the festival area through the train underpass.
