Roosevelt School Serves Up Second Annual Spaghetti Dinner

Dinner benefits Toms River Sandy victims.

Roosevelt Intermediate School eighth graders are serving up their second annual spaghetti dinner for a good cause. The dinner, with seatings at 5:30 and 7:15 p.m., will be held on Friday, Feb. 8 at Roosevelt school.

"This year's dinner is run by the RIS Optimist club, whose focus is to help other youth," explained Roosevelt mathematics teacher Elizabeth Scheuerer. "We have been working with Intermediate East school in Toms River, New Jersey to help the students and families of that school that were affected by Hurricane Sandy. The money raised from this year's dinner will be used to continue to support the families of Intermediate East as they recover."

Scheuerer explained that feedback from last year's inaugural dinner was "fantastic."
