Joining the Westfield Farmers Market Saturday will be a new vendor offering hot dogs, soda, popcorn and Italian ice.
These additions are the latest to hit the fresh air market, which will also boast a "beautiful new seating area," according to Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce executive director, Heather Robinson.
"We understand how busy shoppers are on Saturday," Robinson added. "We have been happily anticipating this addition since week one. Since the seating area is adjacent to some of the ample free parking, at the train station entrance, under a nice shade tree, we hope everyone will linger even more."
Held from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays, in the South Avenue train station parking lot, the market has been gaining momentum steadily since opening for the season in late June.
In July, Taqueria Authentica and Shonna’s Sweet Bites joined other newbies: Sutton Family Farms and JD Gourmet as well as familiar favorites Donaldson Farms, Peaceful Valley Orchards and Skeba Farms.
Robinson said she's encouraging the community to start off its weekly shopping at the market and plan meals around its fresh offerings.
