Lance Congratulates Emilia Wheatley of Westfield

Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ-07) congratulates Emilia Wheatley, 10, of Westfield who was selected as the 2014 New Jersey State Tar Wars Poster Contest Winner by the New Jersey Academy of Family Physicians.  Emilia and her family traveled to Washington, D.C. to participate in the national conference of state winners where they discussed Tar Wars and the nationwide tobacco-free education program for 4th and 5th graders.  During her visit with Congressman Lance at the Energy and Commerce Committee, Emilia talked about the importance of making sure kids never start smoking.  Her poster encourages kids to “light up the stage” and not cigarettes.
