Don’t Miss the Afterparty Band Before Thanksgiving

Before stuffing yourself with turkey, spend a night out dancing to New Jersey’s hottest cover band. The fun is at Colorado Café Wednesday night, when Afterparty takes the stage at 10 p.m. to sing the latest songs from the radio.

With a roster of more than 100 tunes to choose from, the high energy, female-fronted cover band includes music from Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, the Black Eyed Peas, Train, Cee Lo Green, Pink and Robin Thicke, in addition to long-time favorites from Journey, Motley Crue, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bon Jovi and Beastie Boys. “We cover what we feel people want to hear,” said lead singer Kristy Ball.

Afterparty will rock the 10,000 square foot Colorado Café in Watchung, along with another band, Blame it on Richie. Attendees can also look forward to a huge light show.

Westfield’s Home Video Studio will be filming the performance. As its official sponsor, HVS is bringing two cameras to record for a band highlight reel and YouTube/website promotional videos. “It will be exciting to be part of that,” said Kristy Ball, lead singer.

While Afterparty band has been together for several years, its various members have been playing in bands for 15 years. “It’s a very tight, very professional band,” said Ball. “We get everybody dancing and having a great time.” You may also have already seen Afterparty at the Stagehouse Tavern, Tap Room at the Somerset Hills Hotel, and at private parties.
