Christopher Academy Admissions Open House

Christopher Academy, The Montessori School, hosted an Admissions Open House for Prospective Families on Sunday, May 18, at its campuses in Scotch Plains and Westfield.

The weather was lovely as parents and children toured the schools and visited the classrooms.  Teachers were present to answer questions and to expound on the many benefits of a Montessori education -- fostering independence, confidence, concentration, coordination, character-building, as well as social consciousness.

Christopher Academy adheres proudly to the philosophy set forth by Dr. Maria Montessori and maintains premier status as New Jersey’s first and oldest Montessori school and is accredited by the American Montessori Society.  Celebrating 51 years the school was established in 1963 in Westfield with a later campus in Westfield.  Christopher Academy consolidated those two campuses into its current Westfield location at 510 Hillcrest Avenue and opened an additional campus in Scotch Plains at 1390 Terrill Road.

Christopher Academy offers part-time and full-time programs as well as summer camp at both of its locations.  Enrollment for the 2014-15 academic year is ongoing and individual interviews and tours are welcome by contacting the respective offices at 908-322-4652 for the Scotch Plains Campus and 908-233-7447 for the Westfield Campus.
