A Cappella Concert at Congregation Beth Israel

Congregation Beth Israel in Scotch Plains will host an a cappella concert on Saturday, February 8, from 8 to 9 p.m., with doors opening at 7:45.  The concert is open to the community.  Refreshments will be served afterwards.

The concert will be presented by the Rutgers University Jewish a cappella group known as Kol Halayla, or The Voice of the Knight.  The concert will feature contemporary Israeli and American songs in both Hebrew and English.

In its eighteenth year, Kol Halayla is the oldest co-ed a cappella group at Rutgers.  The ensemble performs throughout the east coast and has released four CDs.
