 d thier new show.&nbsp\;\nThe Westfield Community Players presents Tenne
 ssee Williams&rsquo\; celebrated \, award winning drama\, The Glass Mena
 gerie.&nbsp\;\n&nbsp\;\nThe time is 1935\; the country has not yet recov
 ered from the effects of the Great Depression.&nbsp\; Unemployment is at
  17%.&nbsp\; People are struggling.\n&nbsp\;\nThe place is the seedy sid
 e of St. Louis in a meager apartment located next to an alley and dance 
 hall.\n&nbsp\;\nThe players are Amanda Wingfield\, a loving\, but overbe
 aring mother who clings to another time and place\, the south of the pas
 t.&nbsp\; Her picture of the world of gentlemen callers for her daughter
  Laura\, who is shy\, introverted\, and crippled is not a reality in the
  ghettos of St. Louis.&nbsp\; Trapped by a mindless job in a warehouse t
 o support his family is Tom\, the poetic\, frustrated son.&nbsp\; The po
 wer of this drama resides in this family&rsquo\;s struggle&nbsp\; betwee
 n delusion and reality.\n&nbsp\;The Glass Menagerie is directed by Fred 
 Cuozzo of Green Brook\, produced by Lucille Bills of Scotch Plains\, and
  stage managed by Barbara Ruban of Springfield.&nbsp\; The actors includ
 e Brian Remo\, Mary Dolan Flaherty\, Kristina Hernandez\, and Mike Burdi
 ck.\n&nbsp\;Performance dates are March 10\, 17\, 23\, and 24 at 8:00 pm
  and March 18 at 3:00 pm.&nbsp\; Tickets are $20.00 with a special price
