DESCRIPTION:Westfield Community Players (WCP) presents its third producti
 on of the season with the 2001 Pulitzer Prize and 2001 Drama Critic's an
 d Tony Award winning play\,&nbsp\;Proof&nbsp\;by David Auburn.&nbsp\; It
  opens on March 2 and runs March 9\, 16\, 22 and 23 at 8pm\; a matinee p
 erformance is on March 10. The production is directed by Steve Lemenille
  (of Clark)\, who directed&nbsp\;Dial 'M' for Murder\, A View from the B
 ridge and Squabbles&nbsp\;for WCP\; and produced by Sally Brown (of West
 field).\nThe play concerns itself with Catherine\, a troubled young woma
 n\, who on the eve of her twenty-fifth birthday\, has spent years caring
  for her brilliant but unstable father\, a famous mathematician. Now\, f
 ollowing his death\, she must deal with her own volatile emotions\; the 
 arrival of her estranged sister\, Claire\; and the attentions of Hal\, a
  former student of her father's who hopes to find valuable work in the 1
 03 notebooks that her father left behind. Over the long weekend that fol
 lows\, a burgeoning romance and the discovery of a mysterious notebook d
 raw Catherine into the most difficult problem of all: How much of her fa
 ther's madness-or genius-will she inherit?\nThe cast includes veteran WC
 P actor\, John Correll\, as the father\, Robert (of Winfield Park) and n
 ew-comers to WCP: Shiva Kiani (of Newark)\, as Catherine\; Kristin Barbe
