More About Language and Enrichment Center Preschool Enrichment Program
Language and Enrichment Center Preschool Enrichment Program
The Language and Enrichment Center is one of New Jersey's premier destinations for early childhood education and enrichment classes. Located in Scotch Plains, the school's focus is holistic child development, and it offers programs that address different aspects of a child's growing mind and body. The school believes that childhood is the ideal time to introduce foreign languages, as well as global awareness of other cultures and traditions. These concepts are an integral part of the school's philosophy and is woven throughout all of its programs.
The school offers half-day preschool bilingual enrichment programs five days a week. The program allows children ages 2½ through 5 to embrace the Italian language and culture while learning their A, B, C's and 1, 2, 3's in both English and Italian. Preschoolers will be introduced to an age-appropriate curriculum. Among other things, the children will be learning:
- numbers, colors, shapes and seasons
- social skills along with fine and gross motor skills
- group time activities including snack, story time, art, music and movement
- organic gardening and composting in the on-site garden
All classes are taught in a bilingual fashion. The school offers drop off classes Monday through Friday. Each class is two hours and runs from 9am to 11am and noon to 2pm.
