DESCRIPTION:The Pineda Lyric Opera Young Artists is holding auditions for
  talented high school singers for a special production of&nbsp\;Mozart's
  THE MAGIC FLUTE.&nbsp\;The production will be performed at the CDC Thea
 tre in Cranford on June 4th\, 5th and 6th. &nbsp\;Those selected will jo
 in the Pineda Lyric Opera Young Artist program of weekly friday evening 
 classes in a tuition free program. &nbsp\;\nThe opera will be fully stag
 ed with a small orchestra. &nbsp\;The directors have made specific chang
 es to some parts of the opera to make it more suitable for young singers
 . &nbsp\;\nAuditions will be held at&nbsp\;7PM\, Friday night February 1
 st at the First United Methodist Church at&nbsp\;1171 Terrill Rd in Scot
 ch Plains. &nbsp\;Please prepare 32 bars of art song or aria in any lang
 uage\, or legit musical theatre (absolutely no belting). &nbsp\;Those ca
 lled back will be asked to sing more. &nbsp\;Because of the difficulty o
 f some roles\, some parts of the show will be transposed into lower keys
  to be more suitable for young singers.Rehearsals will be held Friday Ev
 enings\, with some weekend rehearsals closer to the performance in June.
 &nbsp\;The cast breakdown is as follows: Tamino (Tenor) prince\, some pa
 rts may be lowered\,&nbsp\;Papageno (Baritone) bird catcher\, comic role
 \,&nbsp\;Monostatos (Tenor) a Moor\, cheif slave of the temple\,&nbsp\;S
 arastro (Bass or Bass Baritone- could be mezzo too)- High Preist\, &nbsp
 \;Pamina (soprano) daughter of Queen of the Night\, in love with Tamino\
 ,&nbsp\;Papagena (soprano) bird girl\, romantic interest to Papageno \,&
 nbsp\;Queen of the Night (soprano- aria's will be lowered) \,Three Ladie
 s: (sop 1\, Sop 2\, Mezzo) fiery servants to the Queen of the Night- fun
  large parts\,&nbsp\;Two Priests (tenor and bari or soprano and mezzo) j
 udgemental fortune tellersThree Spirits (younger singers who can hold ha
 rmony well) - help and guide the Prince and Princess\,&nbsp\;Ensemble of
