DESCRIPTION:This spring Macculloch Hall Historical  Museum is exhibiting 
 some of its most popular pieces as well as many seldom-seen treasures wh
 ich have been in storage. Vivid examples of the antique Oriental rug col
 lection are hung in the museum's first floor gallery\, complemented by t
 extbook examples of fine porcelain\, silver\, glass and furniture collec
 ted by Museum founder\, W. Parsons Todd. This is a special opportunity t
 o see rarely-exhibited treasures from the collection in the gallery and 
 tour the rest of the museum to see many other pieces in period room sett
 ings.&nbsp\; Included in the exhibit are over a dozen Oriental rugs from
  the Museum&rsquo\;s collection. The exhibit also features documents pen
 ned by some of our country&rsquo\;s founding heroes including those sign
 ed by George Washington\, Dolley Madison and others\, and fine furniture
  such as a walnut English armchair\, circa 1720\, which was the inspirat
 ion for the Museum&rsquo\;s logo with the ornate looping back and shell 
 design.&nbsp\;\n&nbsp\;\n&ldquo\;A Fine Collection&rdquo\; has a perimet
 er layout which leaves the center of the room open for a series of speak
 ers and musical programming taking place in conjunction with the exhibit
  over the next several months.&nbsp\; Programs in conjunction with the e
 xhibit take place with music on the first Sunday at 4:30pm and speakers 
 on the third Sunday of each month through June.\n&nbsp\;\nCelebrate the 
 month of Valentine's Day with a choral performance "Love and Peace" by H
 armonium Outreach Chorus at 4:30pm on Sunday February 3.&nbsp\;&nbsp\; T
 he Harmonium Outreach Chorus is a subset of the 100-voice Harmonium Chor
 al Society\, an auditioned chorus with a mission to transform communitie
 s through music and including many professional church musicians and mus
 ic educators among its members&rsquo\; wide range of vocations. Directed
  by Dr. Anne Matlack\, the performance includes both period works and ot
 her songs related to the theme.\n&nbsp\;\nOn Sunday February 17\, at 4:3
 0pm\, Museum member and decorative arts collector Ken Miller presents "F
 rom Masters to Manufacturers - The Silver industry and Early American Li
 fe.&rdquo\;&nbsp\; Mr. Miller will share a brief examination of the earl
 y silver industry in the Colonies and newly born United States\, focused
  on the significant changes within this one craft.&nbsp\; It was not jus
 t taste and technique that changed during this period\, nor was the Amer
 ican political revolution the only upheaval - in fact social and commerc
 ial life went through its own revolution during these years and can be w
 itnessed through the stories of early America's silversmiths.&nbsp\;\n&n
 bsp\;\nTickets for Sunday programs will go on sale from 1pm on the day o
 f the program\, no advance sales.&nbsp\; A separate ticket ($12) is requ
 ired for the musical programs\; discounted ($10) for members\, Seniors\,
  Students and those who purchased a Museum tour ticket that afternoon.&n
 bsp\; House tours (regular admission applies) take place throughout the 
 afternoon\, the last tour leaves at 3pm. Tickets to hear speakers are Ad
 ults $8\; Seniors &amp\; Students $6\; Children 6 &ndash\; 12 $4. Member
 s and children under 5 are free. Speaker tickets include admission to ta
 ke part in a house tour if visitors arrive during the afternoon and sign
  up to tour.&nbsp\; On program days the upstairs galleries will remain o
 pen until 4:30pm\, the &ldquo\;A Fine Collection&rdquo\; exhibit will cl
 ose at 3pm in preparation for the program.\n&nbsp\;\nMacculloch Hall  Hi
 storical Museum preserves the history of the Macculloch-Miller families\
 , the Morris area community\, and the legacy of its founder W. Parsons T
 odd through its historic site\, collections\, exhibits\, and educational
  and cultural programs. The Museum is open to tour the house and view ex
 hibits on Wednesdays\, Thursdays &amp\; Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m. Adults
