SAGE’S COFFEE & CONVERSATION SERIES

Join SAGE Eldercare staff and board members for "Coffee and Conversation." This continuing monthly series will offer a brief discussion and tour of SAGE to learn more about the non-profit eldercare organization that has been based in Summit for 56 years. Jessica Rosenzweig, SAGE's Executive Director, will be on hand to explain how SAGE's programs and services have expanded to meet the changing needs of the community's growing elderly population. The next session is scheduled for Thursday April 22 at 12:00 PM (a light lunch will be served on this date, but space is limited).

SAGE's headquarters at 290 Broad Street will be the site of the informal group gatherings. The sessions will last about one to one and a half hours, depending on the size of the group. During this time, attendees will have the opportunity to tour the building which is celebrating its five year anniversary at its Broad Street location. The building houses all of SAGE's twelve programs and services under one roof – with the exception of The Resale Shop which is located nearby in Summit. Visitors will be able to see many of the SAGE services in action, as well as meet the dedicated staff who oversee the programs. The agenda will include an opportunity to meet some of the SAGE Trustees, who along with Ms. Rosenzweig, will be available to answer questions.

By popular demand, St. Teresa's will have another showing of The 13th Day - The True Story of Fatima on Saturday, April 17 at 7:00 pm in Memorial Hall at 306 Morris Avenue. This film was just released in December and chronicles the 1917 apparitions of Our Lady in a most beautiful way.

In a world torn apart by persecution, war and oppression, three children were chosen to offer a message of hope. Based on the memoirs of Sister Lucia Santos and independent eye-witness accounts, movie dramatizes the incredible true story of three shepherd children from the village of Fatima in Portugal, who experienced six apparitions with a "Lady from Heaven" between May and October 1917.

The lady, who later revealed herself to be the Blessed Virgin Mary, gave a secret to the children told in three parts, from a harrowing vision of hell, to prophetic warnings of future events including the advent and timing of the Second World War, the spread of communism, and the assassination of the Pope.

Released in 2009, the film is stylistically beautiful and technically innovative.
