On July 1, a resident of the 100 block of Wyoming Street reported a forced entry through the front door of his home. A laptop computer was taken from the residence, the only item that appears to be missing. The burglary apparently occurred between 4:30 p.m. and 12:03 a.m.

The Wyoming Street burglary comes several weeks after a series of burglaries in the Shadowlawn neighborhood near Westfield High School. A town hall meeting is planned for next Tuesday evening at a private residence on Shadowlawn to discuss the burglaries and steps residents can take to prevent burglaries. Wyoming Street is slightly over two miles from Shadowlawn.
