WHS PTSO to Discuss Liabilities of Hosting Teen Parties
Awareness meeting/panel discussion for all parents regarding hosting parties

Have you heard of the movie “Project X”? Are you thinking “Not in Westfield! Not at my house! Not my teenager!” Think again. It can happen in our neighborhoods and does.
The WHS PTSO invites all Westfield parents to participate in a special community event on Wednesday, February 27, at 7:30 pm in the Westfield High School Cafeteria B.
Why? : To make parents aware of the responsibilities, potential consequences and liabilities when knowingly/unknowingly hosting parties with alcohol/drugs on their property.
How: Short presentation with discussion to follow. Panelists ** include: Principal Peter Renwick, Athletic Director Sandy Mamary, Coordinator of Counseling K-12 Maureen Mazzarese, Prosecutor Tony Prieto, Police Chief David Wayman and Lt. John Ricerca (Westfield Police Dept.) and Daniel Sloan, Personal Injury and Criminal Defense Lawyer. (** subject to change)
The PTSO cannot advise for or against hosting parties. As a community service, the PTSO is hosting this event to make information available as to the responsibilities, liabilities or consequences of parties within the home.
