Westfielder Wins First Prize at Philadelphia Flower Show
Show opened Friday, March 1
Westfield resident Tucker Trimble won First Prize for her flower arrangement in the Medium Niche: Foggy Day category on the opening day of the 2013 Philadelphia Flower Show Friday, March 1.
Trimble, a former President of the Plainfield Garden Club, co-designed the arrangement with Katie Downes of the Garden Club of Englewood. Their arrangement also won the special recognition "Best of Day."
Fellow Westfielder Mary Kent served on the judging panel for the "Cactus & Succulent" horticulture entries. This is Kent's fourth time to be asked to judge at the prestigious Philadelphia Flower Show. She is also a former President of the Plainfield Garden Club.
