Westfield's Trader Joe's to Double in Size by Summer

10 new parking spaces are now available for shoppers.

Fans of Westfield's Trader Joe's can soon enjoy an expanded shopping experience as the Elm Street grocery store, known for its unique items, will nearly double its size by this summer, according to store manager Sheila Cummings.

When Wells Fargo Advisors, TJ's former neighbor, did not renew its lease earlier this spring, the retailer decided to take over the space next door. As the store grows, so has its parking options. While in the past parking spots have been harder to come by than Trader Joe's limited edition holiday cookies, 10 new spots, previously belonging to Wells Fargo, are now available for shoppers in the same lot.

Though Cummings said the date for opening the new section will depend on permits, she anticipates it will be during this summer. She added that news of the larger store has been met with great enthusiasm by the Westfield community and customer feedback has been extremely positive.

"Everyone's very excited," she said.

The store will continue its same hours, daily 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., during and after the expansion is complete.
