The Westfield Board of Education will hold its first meeting of the new year at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3 at 302 Elm Street.

Prior to the start of the meeting, newly-elected members Lucy Biegler, Brendan Galligan, Richard Mattessich, and Gretchan Ohlig will be sworn in. Mattessich and Ohlig are current members and will each serve three-year terms, as will Biegler who is new to the Board. Galligan, the youngest Board member in decades, will serve a one-year term. 

Though it is an organization meeting, the public will be given two opportunities to be heard; first regarding agenda items, and later in the meeting residents are welcome to address the Board with any questions and/or comments.
