Monday:
The Board of Health will hold its December meeting at 5:30 p.m. at the Westfield Municipal Building, 425 E Broad St.
Tuesday:
The Presbyterian Church of Westfield hosts a weekly 'Searching for Work' group in the church's Jim Cole Room on Tuesday mornings from 9 to 11 a.m. The group is for those searching for work and membership is open to everyone in the Westfield community. The group offers support in the searching for work process and allows for networking and the sharing of job search information.
The Westfield Running Company is hosting its Fit and Healthy Community Outreach Programs. This event will be led by trainer Thea Skanes at 9:30 a.m. Admission is free. The Westfield Cooperative Nursery School is pleased to announce a new season of playgroup sessions. Any pre-school aged child is invited to attend the playgroup along with a parent, nanny, or guardian. The group meets at 10 a.m. and is free. Youth & Family Counseling Service is offering a program for teens where high school-aged members meet each Tuesday evening from 6 to 7 p.m at the agency.
The Board of Education will meet at 8 p.m. at the Board of Education building at 425 Elm St.
The Town Council will meet at 8 p.m. at the Municipal Building.
Wednesday:
Pearl Harbor Day will be remembered at the First Wednesday Luncheon of the Westfield Historical Society by a presentation of early Colonial and US flags by Ira Jersey, President of the Westfield Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution. The presentation begins at noon. To attend the luncheon please make a reservation by calling 908-233-2930 by noon, Monday, Dec. 5. The cost is $21 per person.
