Romney Wins Westfield's Vote; Westfield Election Results

Sixty-one percent of Westfield voters cast their ballots today.

 

Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney won Westfielders vote by a narrow margin, with 6,543 ballots cast for the Republican candidate and 6,388 for President Barack Obama.

For U.S. Senate, Westfielders preferred Republican Joe Kyrillos to incumbent Democrat Robert Menendez: 6,005 to 5,977.

Congressman Leonard Lance won Westfield's vote 6,671 to 5,122 for Democrat Upendra J. Chivukula.

Westfielders votes for the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders were as follows:

Alexander Mirabella (D) : 5,046

Mohamed S. Jalloh (D) : 4,380

Bruce H. Bergen (D) : 4,934

Diane Barabas (R) : 6,624

Stephen Kozlovich (R) 6,633

Krzysztof Chris T. Nowak (R) 6,377

Members of the Westfield Board of Education:

Three-year term:

Gretchan R. Ohlig: 5,769

Lucy Biegler: 5,444

Richard Mattessich: 5,067

One-year unexpired term:

J. Brendan Galligan: 5,768
