Police Blotter: West Orange Resident Arrested for Cocaine Possession
A look at a week in police activity.
A West Orange resident was arrested for possession of cocaine during a week in police activity dominated by drug and alcohol arrests. The police made a variety of marijuana and DWI arrests, along with reports of criminal mischief in the community.
Nov. 19
A resident of the 800 block of Dorian Road reported an action of criminal mischief to their car while it was parked in the driveway. An unknown individual shattered the driver's side window with an unknown object.
Nov. 20
Claiston Smith, 41, of Newark was arrested on a $1000 Union Township warrant and an $80 Newark warrant during a motor vehicle stop at Mountain and Central.
Paul Parker, 41, of Westfield responded to the police department to satisfy a $96 Wall Township warrant.
Nov. 21
Jose Martinez-Resnoso, 37, of North Plainfield was arrested for DWI during a motor vehicle stop at South and Boulevard. He was processed and released.
Michael Ebert, 46, of Scotch Plains was arrested for DWI during a motor vehicle stop at South and Crossway. He was processed and released.
Jamal Jones, 37, of Newark was arrested on a $250 New Brunswick warrant.
Nov. 22
A business owner on the 100 block of Central Avenue reported an act of criminal mischief by an unknown actor.
Sherin Brown, 24, of Brooklyn, NY, was arrested on a $500 Westfield warrant. He was processed and released.
Bilal Jeter, 33, of Rahway was arrested on a $1466 Elizabeth warrant.
Hilina Damte, 22, of West Orange and Nadeem Everett, 19, of Oraneg were arrested for possession of under 50 grams of marijuana during a motor vehicle stop at Springfield and Michael Drive. Damte was also charged with possession of cocaine. They were processed and released.
Nov. 23
Joseph Ondi, 18, was arrested for DWI during a motor vehicle stop at South and Summit.
Kevin Hearon, 19, of Westfield was arrested for possession of under 50 grams of marijuana during a motor vehicle stop at Sycamore and Boynton.
Judith Beros, 42, of Easton, Penn. was arrested for DWI during a motor vehicle stop on North Avenue in Scotch Plains.
