Police Blotter: Residents Report Identity Theft, Criminal Mischief

The following information was obtained from the Westfield Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

 

Feb. 28: A resident of Kimball Circle reported being the victim of identity theft. The victim states that unknown suspect(s) gained access to his checking account and attempted to have checks delivered to an alternate address. He also noticed that the suspect opened a Bloomingdale's credit card in his name as well.

March 1: A 31-year-old Scotch Plains man was arrested for driving while intoxicated (DWI) pursuant to a motor vehicle stop at Mountain and Bradford Avenues. He was transported to headquarters, processed and released to a sober adult. 

March 2: Following a motor vehicle stop, Justin Paraboschi, 31, of Atlantic Highlands, was arrested for possession of CDS (Crack Cocaine and Ketamine)  a crime of the third degree. A superior court date of March 8 has been set. 

March 6: The owner of a residence in the 500 block of West Broad Street reported an act of criminal mischief that occurred while the home is under construction. The owner believes the damange occurred between Feb. 20 and March 6. Unknown suspect(s) smashed two windows causing approximately $400 in damage.
