Former Westfield Patch Editor John Celock, now the state politics reporter and Patch liaison for The Huffington Post, was up in New Jersey over the weekend and stopped by Westfield. While in town, he visited the Westfield Neighborhood Council Street Fair in the South Avenue train station parking lot on June 9 and couldn't resist pulling out a camera phone and grabbing some photos of the event to share with us.

The Westfield Neighborhood Council, a community service group servicing the Cacciola neighborhood, sponsors three street fairs annually as the primary fundraisers for the group. The proceeds from the street fair will fund the various operations of the group including a seniors program and various programs for the children of Cacciola. The WNC has sponsored summer camps in the past - as recently as 2010 - but has stopped due to a lack of funding. WNC Treasurer Patricia Faggins told John that she hopes the group can raise the funds to put on a new camp in 2013.
