Presidential politics got a lot more plaintiff and visible in Springfield earlier this month when the sign for the former site of Disco electronics became a request for God to intervene in the 2012 elections on behalf of presidential hopeful Mitt Romney.

Disco Electronic is moving? They have been an institution on Route 22 for years. I bought my first stereo receiver there when I was 17. Romney will be history after the election. I wish that owners of Disco the best of luck at their new location!

I'm curious if this sign was approved by the Review Board.

At this point, his only shot is with God's intervention.

I loved Disco. Back in the early 70s it was like a closet full of boxes with a customer counter. All you needed was a model # to get a good deal. I bought a great set of Jensen speakers, among other stero equipment. Still use the speakers.

Rubbery Fenders - In 1969, I was 17 years old when I scrapped together $125 to buy my first Harman-Kardon receiver from Disco. They had the best equipment at the best prices. They outlived Crazy Eddie, Circuit City, Sixth Avenue and others. I still have the receiver although I haven't plugged it in in many years. I wonder if Bain Captial bought them too?
