Paintball for Mariesa, Tallia and Carly

Local firefighters are coming together to raise money for the daughters of the late Westfield Firefighters Danny Maglione and Jim Pfeiffer.

The Westfield FMBA has announced that there will be a paintball fundraiser to benefit the Mariesa and Tallia Maglione Fund and the Carly Pfeiffer Fund on Sept. 30. The fundraiser will be held in Albrightsvilla, Penn. with transportation available from a local shopping center.

The paintball fundraiser will feature prizes and raffles, along with several special events. There will be local on local FMBA competitions, a “Rage Against the Fire Officers” competition and firefighters vs. fire officers in the Tipman Castle. There will also be competitions between statewide districts of the FMBA from around New Jersey. Lunch and drink are also included, along with an end of the day get together.

The cost of the fundraiser is $68 for self-transportation and $100 to ride the party bus round trip from Blue Star Shopping Center in Watchung. The cost includes 500 paintballs and equipment. A camo suit rental is an extra $7.

Maglione was for his caring nature and love of firefighting during his April 2011 funeral. The FMBA during his cancer battle to raising funds for his medical care.

Pfeiffer was for his heroic work and love of firefighting during his funeral a year ago. There have been several fundraisers for his daughter since his death, including a , , an and a .
