Just Bead Yourself Offers Ladies an Evening Out for Any Occasion

The Central Avenue jewelry studio features Friday evening classes and parties.

Just Bead Yourself isn't just for kids. While the Central Avenue shop is a popular destination for children's parties and events, the jewelry design studio has plenty of offerings for ladies looking for an evening out and a chance to craft a one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry.

Owner Thea Jackson has put together a schedule of events that are more than just simple jewelry-making evenings. Her next 'Indulge Yourself' evening will be held from 7 to 10:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24. The event includes a 20-minute chair massage, strawberries dipped in chocolate fondue, and a necklace, bracelet or earrings. Can't make this one? Jackson has a second date set for Friday, March 16.

Another offering that has been popular is the studio's 'Psychic Bead Party.' Jackson said ladies can select a quartz crystal prior to receiving a tarot card reading. The crystal will be charged with positive energy during the reading and attendees can then add it to the necklace they design.

Jackson will host the next 'Psychic Bead Party' from 7 to 10 p.m. on Friday, March 23. The cost is $55 and includes a private reading and a necklace.

For those who can't attend those events, Jackson offers a 'Ladies Night Out' package. Priced at $35 for three hours, it's a perfect choice for bachelorette or birthday parties, Jackson said. Parties of six or more can create a necklace, bracelet or two pairs of earrings with friends and family. Ladies are welcome to bring wine, food and a cake to make the celebration that much more special, she said. Party add-ons including chocolate fondue, chair massages for guests and psychic readings are all available for an additional fee.

"Recently, a man come in and plan a 50th birthday party for his wife," Jackson said. "They had the whole thing catered; it was really nice."

The business owner said she is happy to customize beading events and has arranged corporate events, fundraisers and team-buidling exercises. Jackson said she strives to accommodate clients' needs and is willing to travel to host off-premises parties or work within tight budgets.

Registration is required for most classes. For more information, call 908-BEAD-411 or visit Just Bead Yourself's website.
