Donations Accepted for Union Beach Hurricane Sandy Victims

Family Readiness Group volunteers are collecting goods to be distributed.

 

Our local National Guard soldiers have been stationed down in Union Beach and other surrounding communities for the past week. After hearing the many stories, some of our Family Readiness Group community volunteers have decided to organize a community wide collection of goods that can be distributed. We are not collecting monetary donations. We will be collecting through Saturday, November 17.

We will collect, organize and transport down to the towns. 

The following has been requested by the Union Beach Fire Dept. and Borough Hall:

non-perishable food items (no glass please)

toiletries (toothpaste / toothbrushes / soap / etc.)

clothing (clean warm clothing - no summer clothing - all sizes accepted)

blankets

baby items (diapers / formula / wipes)

non-perishable food items
toiletries
clothing
blankets

In addition we need the following:
Sudafed
Dayquil
Cepacol Lozenges
Lotrimin
Motrin / Aspirin / Tylenol
Immodium
Pepto Bismol
Hydrocortisone Cream
Nasal Decongestant
Zcap for Allergies

Two of my kids, aged 6 and 4, have been collecting items all week to donate. We were going to take them to the Union Beach Fire Dept on 1110 Union Ave. Is that still an acceptable location? We are planning to head down on Sunday. Thanks!

Moving to florida. I live in Colts Neck..not far from Union Beach. Have nice furniture to donate. Please send someone to pick up. Bedroom sets, sofa, two love seats all in very good conditon. call Joanna at 732-462-6326 thank you!!
