A Westfield police officer located the above-pictured dog in Tamaques Park Tuesday evening.
The dog, male and advanced in age, is currently being housed at the Westfield Police Department.
Anyone with information about his owner is asked to call 908-789-4000.

I am glad the Westfield Police has this poor dog. I pray he will not end up at the shelter. Thank you to the officer for rescuing him!

I think I saw him run into park from lamberts mill rd. so may want to run info on scotch plains patch as well. Hoping he gets reunited with his family !

Thanks, Jane. I just posted it on that site as well. The police officer who was caring for him was treating him as if he were his own, so that was great to see.

There is a rescue group waiting to take him if he is not claimed by the time he can be released.
