Entertaining doesn't need to be intimidating, especially if you start small. Chef and author Kim Hendrickson will serve up some tasty treats and offer some time-saving tips for hosts and hostesses from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11 when she visits The Town Book Store
The woman behind the 'Tastefully Small' series will also answer questions about preparing food in advance, substituting alternative ingredients, and whipping up the perfect amount crowd-pleasing appetizers.
The winner of two Florida Publishers Association gold medals, Hendrickson has catered for the New York Metropolitan Opera, the Penguin Repertory Theatre, and 'The Bizarre Food Show.'
"For the tasting, Kim will bring samples from her first two books, 'Finger Sandwiches' and 'Dessert Canapés,' ensuring a delectable assortment of saltiness and sweetness for Town Book Store customers," said book shop owner Anne Laird.
Just in time for Valentine's Day, Laird said Hendrickson's 'Small Bite Cutters' can be used to make heart-shaped hors d'oeuvres.
"I have been told that Kim has considerable experience with informal tastings in limited space for browsing customers who are interested in savory hors d'oeuvres and curious about her award-winning entertaining cookbooks in paperback," Laird said.
