Mindy, a 25-pound brown dachshund mix dog, is a rescue who was just placed in her new home a day before a fire destroyed her new family's house at 521 Cumberland St., Westfield.  Mindy is not wearing a collar, but has a shaved square on her rear from undergoing heartworm treatment.  She will NOT bite; she is very frightened but is very sweet.  Mindy just completed her heartworm treatment and needs to rest to stay healthy.  If you see her or have her, please call 917-681-7712, Dachshund Rescue of North America, ftdoxnj@gmail.com.
